Background
Pierre Charreyron graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Ecole Centrale de Paris in 1977. He further holds a PhD in Materials Processing from Ecole des Mines de Paris in 1983, doing most of his thesis research at MIT as a visiting scientist.
Pierre Charreyron worked for 27 years in Industry, including 10 years in North America. After a few years as R&D engineer, he moved on to General management. Over 23 years, he managed 7 companies ranging from private SME’s or to subsidiaries of larger groups in several industrial sectors: advanced materials, ceramics, automotive components, robotics engineering. He was involved in launching new business ventures around the world from Europe to India, Russia and China.
He moved on to Engineering Education and Research management. He served as President of Université de Technologie de Compiègne and as Director of ESIGELEC two engineering schools in France.
Pierre is now Higher education & training consultant.
